Role: Chef De Partie
Location: Whitby, North Yorkshire, UK
Salary: £33,000 circa + tips
Work Schedule: 48 hours per week (5 out of 7 days)
Start Date: Immediate Start Available
Overview and Opportunity:
Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a luxury spa and wellness retreat in Whitby, North Yorkshire which has recently been transformed into a high-end coastal getaway.
They are keen for an experienced Chef De Partie to join their culinary team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a section efficiently during service.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to rosette-level standards, ensuring consistency and precision.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation in your section at all times.
- Follow recipes and plating guidelines to maintain quality and portion control.
- Assist in the training and supervision of Commis Chefs or Demi-CDPs within your section.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures are strictly followed (HACCP compliance).
- Monitor stock levels, assist with stock rotation, and report shortages.
- Communicate clearly with senior chefs and other sections to ensure smooth service.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal updates where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a rosette-level or fine dining kitchen.
- Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques and classical methods.
- Ability to manage a section independently while maintaining high standards under pressure.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures (HACCP and Food Safety Level 2+).
- High attention to detail in presentation, timing, and consistency.
- Passion for seasonal, high-quality ingredients and creative presentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement.
