Job Title: Housekeeper
Location: Surrey
Salary: £36,000 gross per annum
Schedule: 5 days per week, including weekends on rotation when the family is in residence
Accommodation: Live-out

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-focused Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming private household in Surrey. This is a varied, hands-on role for a well-rounded professional who takes genuine pride in their work, maintains exceptional standards, and enjoys contributing to the smooth running of a busy family home. The role requires confidence in the kitchen, particularly with simple family-style meals and home baking.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping and deep cleaning of the property to an immaculate standard
• Laundry and expert ironing, including wardrobe and linen care
• Basic family-style cooking and kitchen support (baking skills highly valued)
• Unpacking groceries and maintaining a well-organised kitchen
• Occasional school runs or errands (for candidates who drive)
• Supporting other household staff when the family is in residence
• Ensuring the home is always pristine, welcoming, and beautifully presented

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within a private household
• Professional, discreet, and proactive with a strong work ethic
• Confident in the kitchen and enjoys preparing healthy family meals and baking
• Exceptional attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
• Driving licence is a strong advantage
• Flexible and team-oriented—happy to adapt to changing needs, especially when the family is in residence
• Able to work efficiently, independently, and to a consistently high standard

Salary & Benefits

• £36,000 gross per annum
