Salary: £30,000 circa + Service Charge
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (5 out of 7 days)

Overview and Opportunity:

Achieve Hospitality are delighted to be partnering with a luxury country house hotel in the Cotswolds. Their Restaurant is a vibrant and welcoming dining destination known for its stylish setting and exceptional cuisine. They pride themselves on delivering 5-star service in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. An incredible opportunity to step into the role of Sommelier and lead our clients award-winning team across a diverse range of exceptional food and beverage outlets.
 
They are seeking an experienced Head Therapist to join they Spa and Wellness team. This role is key to assisting with the creation, development and supervision of a team of high performing spa therapists to deliver the highest standard of treatments and customer care to their discerning clientele. Define and develop a range of high-quality treatments, products and services in line with five-star standards and maximise spa profitability through strong retail sales, promotions and stock control.
 
Role Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver a total passion and commitment to excellence for all hotel residents, spa day guests and members
    Assist Spa Manager with the recruitment, development, engagement & retention of a strong team of Spa Therapists whose focus is to deliver an efficient and consistently high level of treatments and customer care
  • Carry out daily team brief to ensure all team members are aware of any notes pertaining to guests, treatment rooms are allocated efficiently and to communicate any news to the team
  • Ensure that the spa ambience evokes relaxation and calm, whilst ensuring that all procedures, standards, systems, and processes are followed by the therapist team
  • Personally deliver treatments to journalists, VIP guests and as required, according to business needs, maximising the occupancy for each treatment room and spa therapist
  • Work with the Spa Manager/Assistant Spa Manager on the continual analysis of both treatment
    and retail revenue.
  • Track retail sales for each spa therapist in a way to keep the team motivated and engaged.
  • Cascade results of sales to the team and award incentives where appropriate
  • Create, develop and implement treatments and promotions to drive increased business revenue
  • Conduct monthly stock takes and manage the ordering and stock control of all retail and professional products. Ensure that displays are well presented, rotated, replenished, and replaced in accordance with promotion schedules, always maintaining stock security.
  • Implement processes to ensure that all treatment areas are hygienic and immaculately presented.
  • Take responsibility for the cleaning of treatment rooms and showers at the end of each day and assist in the deep cleaning of treatment rooms and therapist areas. Maintain effective general housekeeping within the treatment and storage rooms.
  • Deliver induction and ongoing technical training for all therapists.
  • Assist in PR functions, open evenings and special promotional activities that may arise.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all brands, products, treatments, promotions, and events associated with the spa and wider hotel.
  • Be fully dedicated to driving the hotel’s sustainable vision and goals, aiming to reduce our
    negative environmental impact. Contribute to our strategy to deliver the hotel’s ‘net zero’commitments.
  • Manage and enable the team to use energy and water in a cost-effective manner.
  • To segregate waste into correct streams to conserve resource. Ensure predominantly local and
    sustainable procurement.
  • Comply with all food safety/ health and safety/data protection/COSHH and UK licensing legislation. Ensure that health and safety procedures are followed within the treatment areas and that correct reporting procedures are adhered to regarding any accidents, incidents or equipment failure.
  • Required to act as Duty manager for the Spa in the absence of Spa/Assistant Spa Manager.

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of what high quality service looks like
  • Advanced levels of spoken and written English
  • Holder of a recognised therapist qualification at NVQ level 4 level or above
  • An excellent Spa Therapist able to demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism and competence in treatment delivery
  • Strong coaching skills.
