Role: Head Chef
Location: Worcester, UK
Salary Range: £40,000-£45,000 plus tips
Work Schedule: Full Time Permanent
Overview and Opportunity
The Head Chef will take full control and run all kitchen operations, directing the food prep process, whilst managing a team of Chefs.
The role will suit candidates who have previous experience of Banqueting for for a range of Weddings & Events.
Role Responsibilities
- Write menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring variety and quality of servings
- Approve dishes before reaching customers
- Order equipment and ingredients when required
- Arrange repairs when necessary, providing solutions to problems and defects
- Responsible for hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
- Plan workload of team
- Maintain payroll and attendance records
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Candidate Requirements
- Must be an experienced Head Chef, working in Banqueting and Menu Writing
- Proven ability of kitchen team management, responsibilities and monitoring progress
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes
- Computer literate with, MS Office, restaurant management software and POS
- H&S trained with certificate
- Culinary qualifications
