Role: Head Chef
Location: Worcester, UK
Salary Range: £40,000-£45,000 plus tips
Work Schedule: Full Time Permanent 

Overview and Opportunity

The Head Chef will take full control and run all kitchen operations, directing the food prep process, whilst managing a team of Chefs.

The role will suit candidates who have previous experience of Banqueting for for a range of Weddings & Events.       

Role Responsibilities

  • Write menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring variety and quality of servings
  • Approve dishes before reaching customers
  • Order equipment and ingredients when required 
  • Arrange repairs when necessary, providing solutions to problems and defects
  • Responsible for hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
  • Plan workload of team
  • Maintain payroll and attendance records
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be an experienced Head Chef, working in Banqueting and Menu Writing  
  • Proven ability of kitchen team management, responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes
  • Computer literate with, MS Office, restaurant management software and POS
  • H&S trained with certificate
  • Culinary qualifications
