Overview and Opportunity
 
We are seeking a professional and discreet Head Housekeeper to join a private family residence in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual with a background in VIP households or luxury properties who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, organised, and confident in managing the smooth daily operation of the household alongside other staff members.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain immaculate cleanliness and organisation throughout the residence in accordance with household schedules and standards, including wet and dry cleaning, linen and towel changes, and kitchen care.
  • Oversee wardrobe management, including care of fine fabrics, sorting, washing, ironing, and storage.
  • Assist the chef and household team with table setting and service during family events.
  • Ensure the children’s rooms and play areas are tidy, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning and household supplies, arranging timely replenishment.
  • Confidently operate and maintain household systems and appliances such as humidifiers, smart home devices, and air conditioning units.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the family’s needs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working in private UHNW households, with a strong understanding of discretion and subordination.
  • Experience working internationally or within multicultural environments is desirable.
  • EU citizenship and UK permanent residence
  • Basic Russian language skills are required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
  • Calm, adaptable, and efficient under pressure.
  • Team-oriented with high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Flexibility to accompany the family when required, including during holidays.
